5 TIPS IN SELF-STUDYING

       1.    Set your goals
List your short-term and long-term goals before reviewing. Having a goal in mind keeps you motivated. Set your goals and achieve them one by one. You can set yourself up for success by doing only the things listed in your list. You can also adjust your review load depending on how hectic your schedule is for the day.

       2.    Organize your study materials and workplace
Organizing your study materials before reviewing is a great start. Missing objects may hinder the flow of your review and could cause you to stop reviewing. Your study environment is also a significant aspect of your review. It is essential to create a study space for yourself. Assign a desk or a table that is designated only for review, and you will know to be mentally ready every time you enter your study space.

       3.    Explore different methods
There are tons of ways of reviewing: watching educational videos, reading books, listening to recordings, or writing notes. Find which method works best for you.

       4.    Form a habit
One of the hardest things to do when reviewing is making a habit out of it. According to Goalcast, it takes 21 days to instill a pattern to a person. Doing the same thing over and over may be torturous, but once you have formed a habit, it will be more comfortable, and the result will be visible. If you are having a hard time reviewing for long hours in a day, try to study in short, frequent sessions.

       5.    Meditate
Give yourself a moment of peace. It can help you focus and redirect your thoughts. You can develop a positive mood and other beneficial feelings, such as self-discipline and increased pain tolerance.

So whether you’d review on commute to your PTE Review Center in Makati, or just stay at home with your books and study materials, take these tips to heart and maximize your learning opportunity. For more useful study strategies, visit and subscribe to our blog.
